Hithadhoo Island in Addu City is home to two of the largest wetlands in the Maldives. The northern wetland Eidhigali Kilhi and Koattey area was declared a protected area in 2004.
You'll find 28 bird species here, making it a favourite spot to visit for nature lovers. But what's really dragging the tourists here are the stories behind these attractions. For instance, it is said that fairies used to visit the beautiful lake in Koattey area.
