Raffles Maldives announces its enhancement to the guest arrival experience

Raffles Maldives Meradhoo is launching scheduled seaplane operations starting November 2023, enhancing the guest arrival experience. The scenic seaplane journey, which soars across the Maldivian sky and crosses several atolls, reduces waiting time at the domestic terminal and elevates the travel experience to the resort. Starting from Male, guests can embark on a 90-minute non-stop seaplane journey to the untouched beauty of Gaafu Alifu Atoll. Unlike traditional domestic flights and speedboat transfers, the non-stop seaplane experience will be transformative and a testament to Raffles service. General Manager Amila Handunwala said the commencement of seaplane operations is a celebratory moment, unifying the allure and heritage of Raffles with the scenic beauty of the Maldives. TMA, the world's largest seaplane operator, is confident that their collaboration will help provide a seamless travel experience to all guests. Shubham Moondhara, TMA's Head of Corporate Strategy & Business Development, expressed gratitude for Raffles Maldives' trust in them and eagerly looks forward to delivering an exceptional journey to their mutual guests.
