Ancient Mosque

The historical mosque on Kudarikulu is quite an architectural site. Despite how old it is, this coral stone mosque shows off the amazing craftsmanship of Kudarikilu ancestors.

Deserted since 1989 after a new mosque was constructed on the island, the ancient mosque was suffering through damages with no measure taken to preserve it. However, in 2020, the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Heritage announced that efforts are underway to renovate this mosque. After all, it is a wonderful piece of the country's culture and heritage.
