The Maldives won the grand title of "Best Island Destination"

At the highly regarded Travel Weekly Asia 2021 Readers' Choice Awards, the Maldives won the ultimate title of 'Best Island Destination' in Asia Pacific. In the past year, great organizations received 19 awards in three categories in appreciation of their commitment to offering unsurpassed service and excellence. The readers of Travel Weekly voted on all of the nominations, which were then endorsed by industry insiders.

This honor adds to the Maldives' long list of achievements. The destination has previously received four coveted World Travel Awards in the Indian Ocean Category. As visitation continues after the pandemic, these honors demonstrate that the archipelago is one of the safest and most popular destinations in the world.
