So far this year, the Maldives has welcomed a record of 238,533 visitors as of the 15th of March. 9 days is the total period of stay.
With a market share of 23.3 percent, India is the leading source market for tourist arrivals, led by Russia with 21.5 percent. Kazakhstan, Germany, Romania, Czech Republic, France, Switzerland, and the United States are among the top source markets. From July 15, 2020, the Maldives will reopen its borders to all nationalities. Both travelers are given a free 30-day visa upon arrival.
The Maldives has also expanded its 'Split Stay' policy to include all forms of visitor accommodations. With prior permission, tourists will divide their stay between resorts, hotels, guesthouses, and liveaboard boats. There is no provision for quarantine or monitoring upon landing, but all travelers must fill out a health declaration form. When filling out the Traveler Health Declaration form, you must append all negative PCP test reports.
