Visit Maldives takes part in ULTRA Summit 2021

The Maldives will attend the ULTRA Summit for Luxury Travel Advisors in 2021. The summit's main goal this year is to keep the destination brand on people's minds as a safe haven for travelers in luxury markets. This is Visit Maldives' first physical fair of the year, and it is aimed at the American market.

Since the border reopened on July 15, 2020, the Maldives had received a total of 690,252 visitors as of July 3, 2021. Despite the pandemic, the Maldives has welcomed 27,759 tourists from the United States since reopening its borders in 2020. The first dosage of the COVID-19 vaccine has been given to 90% of the tourism sector, and 70% has been fully vaccinated. The ultimate goal is to make the Maldives the world's first destination with a fully vaccinated tourism sector.
