PCR test results must be received within 96 hours for all inbound visitors to the Maldives, regardless of country. Prior to entering the nation, passengers must have a negative nucleic acid test (PCR test) for COVID-19. If the passenger takes a transit on the way, the initial PCR test will be valid as long as the transit does not last more than 24 hours. All tourists, special visa holders, business visa holders, foreign diplomats, and their families, transiting airline crew, ship crew arriving by plane to sign onboard a ship, Maldivian nationals, and work visa holders.
Regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status, all inbound travelers to the Maldives must take a repeat PCR test prior to boarding at the port of transit. The online Traveller Health Declaration form, which can be found on the Maldives Immigration website portal, should be completed and submitted by all arriving passengers and airline crew. Passengers must produce their PCR Test results upon arrival and should attach the necessary documentation while filling out the online form.
