Maldives have been included in the World's Greatest Places of 2021

TIME's list of the World's 100 Greatest Places for 2021 includes the Maldives. The Maldives shines as a top island destination, ranking among renowned cities such as Athens, Tokyo, and Paris. The list was developed by asking an international network of journalists and contributors for nominations of venues.
The Maldives became the first country to let people who had been vaccinated to stay without being quarantined. Velaa Private Island, an eco-friendly favorite, is home to the Maldives' largest coral regeneration project. Construction on a groundbreaking floating metropolis, designed to combat rising sea levels, begins in 2022.
