Jorge Lorenzo the 3-time MotoGP World Racing Champ of the World comes to Maldives. Lorenzo is one of the winner boards who rode entirely with Yamaha, Ducati and Repsol Honda. 
Minister of Tourism Dr Abdulla Mausoom and Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Ahmed Mahloof participated in the welcome ceremony held at Velana International Airport (VIA). 
Jorge Lorenzo will be vacationing at the Baglioni Resort Maldives, a luxury paradise with a touch of Italian grace. He will be planning to stay for 2 weeks which he deserved a time off from a race tracks.
In the ceremony held to welcome Jorge Lorenzo, Tourism Minister Mausoom stated the importance to provide opportunities for racing in Maldives. In addition, the minister also highlighted in the speech that Maldives offering ultimate privacy as a luxurious access attracts celebrities to this hotspot.
Lorenzo’s encouraging word were being glad to hear by the member of Racing Association of the Maldives. Furthermore, Minister Mahloof noted that racing opportunities in Maldives should needed to change for the development of Gulhi Falhu and to increased exposure for the tourism industry.
