1 on 1 Interview with Suzaini Ghani

Director of Sales and Marketing at Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi, Suzaini Ghani, recently celebrated her one-year anniversary at the'secret water island.' We received a behind-the-scenes look at her role thanks to this resort interview. She explains why guests return to the resort time and time again.
01. What aspect of your job at Fairmont Maldives is your favorite?
Suzaini Ghani: I love interacting with people, whether it's with my staff, our partners, or our visitors. I enjoy conversing with people from all around the world, hearing their tales, and learning from their experiences.
We shall realize that we are all connected and a part of a community as a result of our participation. I'm a people person, and my main goal is to make sure our guests and employees on the island are taken care of at all times.
02. What do you believe is the most significant factor in delivering a positive customer experience?
Suzaini Ghani: We must not lose sight of the fact that we are all clients in some fashion. We must sympathize with clients, understand their needs, and be aware of their preferences. We must understand that no two clients are alike.
Every experience we provide our customers as hoteliers must be absolutely unique. That is the only way we can distinguish ourselves from our competitors.
03. When dealing with varied markets, how do you adjust your approach?
Suzaini Ghani: As I have stated, we must comprehend market preferences and culture. Knowing what prompts decision-making, travel habits, the purpose of travel, and the customer experience is critical.
To develop a customized Fairmont Maldives experience, we must consider all relevant information. Our success is due in part to our one-of-a-kind and individualized offer, but it is also due to the quality of our service delivery. Our sincere service is well-known all around the world.
04. How do you inspire and motivate your team as someone in a leadership position?
Suzaini Ghani: I make purposeful decisions to lead my team as a role model. It is critical for a leader to "walk the walk" and lead by example. We may be unaware that someone in the workplace looks up to us and sees us as a role model for who they want to be in the future.
05. Have you found that tailoring your approach has helped you secure more business?
Suzaini Ghani: Definitely! A tailored approach to achievement can help you stand out from the crowd. It promotes brand loyalty, which only leads to a long-term economic model.
06. What do you want customers to remember about their Fairmont Maldives experience by the time they leave the island?
Suzaini Ghani: I want our guests to remember Fairmont Maldives as the place where they made remarkable memories that will last a lifetime. I want our guests to tell their friends and family about their time at the Fairmont Maldives.
