Visit Maldives unveils a competition

On July 15, 2021, the Maldives will host its first international art competition. The competition's main goal is to promote the Maldives' natural beauty by displaying local and international talent via art. "Celebration of Nature: Beautiful Ecosystems" is the topic, and it demonstrates that the Maldives has a varied range of natural environments and offers more than just award-winning beaches.

An independent judging panel will choose the top 12 artworks based on creativity, concept, originality, completion, and fluency in the chosen media. The deadline for submissions is August 15, 2021, at 12 p.m. Both the first and second place winners in the international and local categories will receive cash prizes of $3000 (MVR 46,350) and $2000 (MV 30,900), respectively.
