Sun Siyam Vilu Reef commemorates two meaningful activities

The Maldives' Sun Siyam Vilu Reef marked World Environment Day and Ocean Day with meaningful events centered on the island's environment and wellness. To commemorate World Environment Day, guests and staff gathered to plant trees sourced from a nearby farming island in four places of the resort's island home.

Sun Siyam Vilu Reef is one of the Maldives' most innovative and active businesses. For the past five years, the resort has been active in coral planting operations. Guests dove into the ocean to gather dead corals, which were then strung on a tall frame and planted in the resort's house reef. Sun World, the latest expansion, is set to debut in October 2021 and will be a game changer with its unique experiences.
