The resumption of four-weekly Atlanta flights by Qatar Airways on June 1 marks the complete restoration of the airline's pre-pandemic U.S. network. Boston, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Seattle will all see increased frequency. "Despite the challenges of the epidemic, Qatar Airways has remained committed to its passengers and trade partners in the United States," said His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, Group Chief Executive of Qatar Airways. San Francisco is one of the airline's two new destinations.
"We are delighted to have led the industry during this challenging period, setting the standard for innovation, safety, and customer service," the airline said. Qatar Airways has one of the world's newest and most fuel-efficient fleets. The airline has grounded its Airbus A380 fleet because operating such a huge, four-engine aircraft in the current market is not environmentally sustainable. It has recently announced a new initiative that allows travelers to offset the carbon emissions linked with their trip at the time of booking. Qatar Airways, a multi-award-winning airline, was crowned 'World's Best Airline' at the 2019 World Airline Awards. Skytrax also rated it the "Best Airline in the Middle East" and "Best Business Class." On flights to more than 40 locations, including Bangkok, Cape Town, the Maldives, and Singapore, Qsuite. is available. It is the world's only airline to have received four 5-Star SkytraX ratings.
