Visit Maldives will host several events

On the margins of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) on May 17, 2021, Visit Maldives will conduct a number of events. For the Middle Eastern media and the travel trade, the two events "The Maldives Media Meet" and "Connect with the Maldives, Your Safe Haven" was held. A prominent travel trade media from the UAE and the Middle East area attended the 'Maldives: Media Meet' press event.

Key updates on how the Maldives is dealing with the epidemic and the strategic opening of borders for tourism resuscitation were provided during the Maldives Media Meet. The event drew ten Maldives tourist sector partners, including resorts and DMCs. The participants were given the opportunity to promote their homes, products, and the unique experiences available at each of their locations. There are plans in the works for major events such as the World Expo 2020, which will be hosted in Dubai in October, and the Explore Maldives Live.

A speed networking session on the newest information about travel to the Maldives was hosted by Visit Maldives. Mr. Thoyyib Mohamed, the Managing Director of Visit Maldives, launched the "Tales of Maldives" campaign. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, these were the first in-person events held in the market. Visit Maldives is conducting these activities as part of its Middle Eastern market recovery action plan. The campaign's goal is to deliver unique, interesting, and memorable content that will leave a lasting impression of the Maldives in the minds of travelers.
