According to Ambassador Aminath Shabeena, the two countries are working on establishing a travel corridor. Travel between the Maldives and the UAE would be possible for those who have acquired two doses of every World Health Organization-approved vaccine. It will be over in two weeks, according to the envoy.
With Greece, Serbia, the Seychelles, and Bahrain, the UAE has formed a travel corridor. When visitors from the United Arab Emirates arrive in these areas, they will not be subjected to quarantine. Between July 15th and December 31st, 2021, the Maldives received over 6,000 visitors from the United Arab Emirates. Visitors who arrived between January 1st and May 18th spent an average of 9 days in the island archipelago this year.
