Sun Siyam Resorts employed new Chief and GM

Sun Siyam Resorts' Siyam World in the Maldives is an exciting and daring new addition to the Sun Siyam Resorts portfolio. Tom McLoughlin, a pioneer in the hospitality industry, has been appointed Island Chief and General Manager. The resort is set to open in the fourth quarter of 2021.

McLoughlin has worked in the Maldives for more than two decades. He'll help the owners and local management team bring Siyam World to life in the Maldives. McLoughlin started his career in the hotel industry working with companies such as Accor and Hilton International. He has a track record of driving the transformation of the new Maldives hospitality industry by spearheading groundbreaking and legendary island concepts.

Siyam World is a five-star all-inclusive resort located in the Maldives' Noonu Atoll. The island, which spans 54 hectares, is one of the largest in the world to host a casino. To cultivate Maldivian talent in the hospitality industry, the resort strives for an 80 percent local jobs figure. There are a million different bars and pubs to pick from, as well as an infinite variety of 'never-seen-before' experiences. This is a brand-new resort that gives visitors the right to roam, socialize, and participate in the island culture.
