Sheraton Maldives reached a milestone

The 100th coral frame has been planted at the Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa. About 5,619 coral fragments from 15 different coral species have been transplanted so far. Reefscapers, a reef propagation company, has partnered with the resort.

About 40 world-class diving points can be found on the North Male Atoll. The resort has partnered with Reefscapers, a Maldivian government-approved coral propagation company. Experts lead the session, which gives participants hands-on training. It also offers an additional source of income for the 250 residents who previously relied solely on fishing. It's a campaign to promote marine reefs and encourage the growth of new coral.
