The Digital Health Passport

Emirates will test a digital passport on a few flights between Dubai and Barcelona. On flights from London Heathrow to Dubai, the pass is valid. There are plans to expand it to other roads in the near future. Before traveling, eligible passengers are encouraged to download the app and register for the pass.

Passengers will collect COVID-19 test results and confirm their eligibility to travel by checking the 'OK to Travel' status on the IATA Travel Pass app. About 20 airlines have signed up for trials of the automated health authentication software, which has been in progress since last year. Passengers will be able to find reliable details on transport and admission conditions for all destinations using the app's integrated registry of travel requirements. It would eventually provide a lab register as well.
