SriLankan Airlines will serve Qatar Airways flights between Doha and nine Turkish airports as a codeshare partner. Six airports in Turkey and four in Scotland will participate in the codeshare. The flights will land in Montreal's Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, which will link them to the rest of North America.
Qatar Airways and SriLankan Airlines started codesharing operations in 2016. Phase 1 was finished in the fourth quarter of 2019, and phase 2 will begin in 2020. There are a total of 48 destinations shared by the two carriers. Both airlines are part of the oneworld global airline alliance, which connects passengers to over a thousand cities in over 170 countries and territories through 14 member airlines. Passengers will be able to book seamless long-distance travel through Doha with expanded travel options to Europe and America via the upcoming codeshare destinations.
