The Iftar bag has become a familiar emblem of the holy month of Ramadan. Each bag includes a variety of sweet and savory treats. On select routes through the Middle East and North Africa, the bags will be open. They were created by the airline in-house and feature a vibrant contemporary interpretation of an Arabic pattern.
The Iftar bag will include a bottle of water, fresh Laban, Medjool Dates, Chicken Musakhan Wrap, Falafel Wrap, and Baklava on flights departing from Doha. With a Chicken Shawarma and a Muhammara Wrap, inbound passengers can have the same options. "With heartfelt greetings, we wish all our passengers Ramadan Kareem," said Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker.
During the Holy Month of Ramadan, dates and laban are usually eaten before Iftar and Suhoor. Travelers will be able to browse standard menus online to ensure a contactless dining experience. Qatar Airways was recently awarded the coveted 5-Star COVID-19 Airline Safety Ranking by international air travel rating organization Skytrax, making it the first global airline to do so. HIA is the Middle East and Asia's first and only airport to receive a 5-star SkyTrax Airport Safety Rating.
