MMPRC commences a campaign with Italy's Sporting Vacanze

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) has begun a month-long promotional campaign with Sporting Vacanze of Italy. Dedicated digital marketing and social media advertising for the Maldives will be featured on famous websites and social media accounts as part of the campaign. Every year, over 8000 tickets are sold. With over 1000 travel businesses, they developed one of the first travel communities on social media in 2020.
This campaign tries to increase Italians' interest in and affection for the Maldives. Due to global travel limitations and health rules, market arrivals have decreased dramatically since the outbreak. With 46,690 arrivals in 2020, Italy was the fourth most popular source market for visitors to the Maldives. As of December 1st, the Maldives have received nearly 1,320,124 Italian tourists.
