Maldives tallied the Highest Monthly Tourist Arrivals

In November 2021, the Maldives received a total of 144,725 tourists. This is the highest monthly tourist arrivals figure ever recorded in the Maldives. Tourist visits have been continuously increasing since July 2021, with the Maldives surpassing one million visitors on October 29, 2021. The total number of visitors to the Maldives reached 1.16 million by the end of November 2021.

With 261,164 visitors, India continues to be the largest market for Maldives tourism, accounting for 22.5 percent of total arrivals. With 205,246 tourists, Russia comes in second with 17.7% of the total. The United States of America, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Ukraine, France, and Switzerland are among the other top markets. With the relaxing of travel restrictions and the implementation of safety measures against Covid-19 in the Maldives, tourist arrivals began to rebound in 2021.
