Foreign Office eases Covid

Four of the five nations that were removed from the UK's red list last week have had their Covid-specific travel advice lifted by the Foreign Office. Egypt, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan, in addition to the Maldives, have been removed from The Foreign Office's travel advisory.
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office now provides advice to British citizens so that they can make informed travel decisions. The elimination of the FCDO's Covid-specific travel recommendations is noteworthy since an FCDO advisory against all but essential travel often results in the cancellation of passengers' insurance plans. The United Kingdom has long been one of the Maldives' most popular tourist destinations.
