Maldives to Host a Roadshow

The Maldives Tourism Board has begun a roadshow in Russia. The roadshow will take place in Moscow, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, and Saint Petersburg from March 19 to March 26, 2021.
Visit Maldives welcomed 12 resorts, 2 guesthouses, 6 travel agents, and a total of 33 participants to showcase their properties. Attendees at all four roadshow activities have the chance to enter a raffle and win a free vacation to the Maldives. According to the most recent Ministry of Tourism figures, the Russian industry is one of the fastest performing countries. So far in 2021, 40,698 visitors have arrived from the Russian zone, with a total of four connecting flights operating between Russia and the Maldives with direct connections from Aeroflot. According to recent figures, the industry has space for expansion.
On July 15, 2020, the Maldives will reopen its borders to visitors of all nationalities. Tourists must complete an online health declaration form at least 24 hours before their departure. Maldives began delivering the COVID-19 vaccine on February 1, 2021. In the coming months, the government plans to give free vaccination to all Maldives citizens and inhabitants.
