Vistara Airline, India's premier full-service carrier, will resume services to Velana International Airport on September 2, 2021. During the COVID-19 epidemic, the airline resumed service on March 3, 2021, with flights between Mumbai and Male'. Due to travel restrictions imposed on South Asian countries as a result of an increase in COID-19 cases, the airline suspended service in May 2021.
Tata Group and Singapore Airlines have partnered to form Vistara Airline. Vistara Airline is India's highest-rated airline on Skytrax and Tripadvisor, as well as a multiple "Best Airline" award winner. As Vistara Airline begins nonstop flights to VIA, it becomes the fourth airline in India to do so.
