New in-room gifts made by local artisan Lily Fatima, who lives on neighboring Eydhafushi island, are available at the Dusit Thani Maldives resort on Mudhdhoo Island in Baa Atoll. Lily makes colorful, handcrafted fish-shaped toys out of leftover fabric from the resort, which are carefully created to mirror traditional local artistry. They make great memory-making keepsakes and let people connect with the destination in a unique way.
As part of the resort's commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences, operating responsibly, and supporting the local community, young guests at Dusit Thani Maldives are now given colorful Lily fish. Mr. Federico Catalito, CSR Manager, commented, "Lily's distinctive and cute fish recall the aquatic beauty that surrounds our resort." "We're excited to develop new methods to add value to our community while also supporting responsible tourism."
The 94 villas and residences of Dusit Thani Maldives are complemented by three restaurants, two bars, and Dusit's distinctive Devarana Spa. It's only 35 minutes by seaplane from Malé, the capital, and 10 minutes by speedboat from Baa Atoll's Dharavandhoo Domestic Airport. A rich house reef, white sand beaches, and a blue lagoon surround the resort.
