The Maldives' top tourist source market is Russia

As of July 21, 2021, Russia is the biggest source market for tourist arrivals in the Maldives. From the conclusion of last year to the beginning of this year, India had the highest number of visitor arrivals. Travel restrictions were temporarily imposed on inbound tourists from the South Asian region as the COVID-19 situation in India intensified.
As of July 21, a total of 136,955 Russian visitors had arrived in the Maldives. With 94,927 tourist arrivals, India is in second position, while Germany is in third place with 31,617 tourist arrivals. The Tourism Ministry predicts that the numbers will rise in the following days.
