The university has introduced courses for tourist industry workers as a result of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Maldives Ministry of Tourism and the Maldives National University.

<b>The following courses have been introduced, according to a circular issued by the Maldives Ministry of Tourism:</b>

All tourist establishments in the Maldives must employ certified and trained workers at all times, according to the Tourism Ministry. Furthermore, the Maldives Qualification Authority has certified these courses as a level 3 certification.
