Maldives reached half a million tourists in 2021

For the first time, the number of tourists visiting the Maldives has topped half a million. On Saturday afternoon, the Tourism Ministry announced the news via a tweet, congratulating all industry partners and thanking travelers. Tourist arrivals in the country have set a new high of more than this year.
With almost 109,000 visitors in March, the Maldives set a new record for tourist arrivals in a single month this year. According to the latest Tourism Ministry figures, 500,406 people visited the Maldives as of last Friday.
