Maldives tallied 469,000 tourist arrivals

So far in 2021, the Maldives has received around 469,000 tourists. When compared to the same time period in 2019, this represents a 40.2 percent drop. However, when compared to the same period in 2020, this is a 22.8 percent increase.
Russia is the largest source market for tourist arrivals, with 111,628 visitors. Ukraine, Kazakhstan, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and the Czech Republic are all key source markets for Maldivian tourism. Tourists from outside of South Asia are welcome to visit the island.
