At the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2021, the InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort was named the 5-star prize for "Best Hotel Architecture Maldives." The Lagoon Pool Villas are located across both the ocean and the beach, providing a unique lodging idea. The resort, which opened in 2019, welcomes families, groups, couples, and lone travelers.
This is the resort's second architectural achievement; in December 2020, we received the Bronze Award for "Best Hotel & Tourism Development 2020" at the MIPIM Asia Awards.
InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort issued a statement.
The Three-Bedroom Royal Beachfront Residence in the Maldives is the ultimate of tropical island living. The resort is a beachfront haven with direct beach access and plenty of indoor and outdoor living areas. Modern nako louvers are employed throughout the resort to blend in seamlessly with the tropical architecture, with logs serving as simple columns and mangrove sticks serving as screens. Taking inspiration from the Arabic word "Musafir," which describes wanderlust and the colorful lifestyle of a nomad.
The Asia Pacific Property Awards honors companies from all areas of the property and real estate industries for their outstanding achievements. An independent team of over 80 industry experts judges the prizes. The InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort is a luxurious retreat for visitors seeking to relax and reconnect.
