Lily Beach is now ready for a new normal

Posted on: 5/16/2021, 9:50:06 AM
The Lily Beach Resort & Spa has earned COVID-Ready Gold certification. Lily Beach had to meet the global benchmark set by Hotel Resilient in order to achieve this top-tier certification. The Taskforce has implemented new reforms such as the installation of wooden handwashing sinks in some parts of the resort. New techniques and regulations, such as the establishment of coronavirus-specific Standard Operating Procedures, were implemented (SOPs).
Hotel Resilient has awarded Lily Beach Resort & Spa Gold certification. Since March, the resort has vaccinated its employees against COVID-19. More than 92% of employees have received at least one dose, with more than 95% expected by the end of the month. The Maldives are an ideal frontline for fighting the pandemic. All of the resorts are on their own islands and can only be reached by speedboat or seaplane. In these trying days, the "one-island, one-resort" idea has held the hospitality industry alive. Several other resorts in the South Ari Atoll have also benefited from the hotel's facilities.
Dr. Lidiia Kotok, the in-house resort doctor, says, "I am very proud of the Lily Vaccination Team, which has done a fantastic job planning, arranging, and prescribing not only one, but two immunizations." Look no further for travelers concerned about COVID-19 or vacationing during a pandemic.
