Maldivinian workers vaccinated with first dose

The first dose of COVID-19 vaccine was given to 99 percent of resort workers in the Maldives. Just 25% of them were properly vaccinated. The Maldives intends to increase tourist numbers by establishing the world's first fully vaccinated tourism market.
In 2021, 1.5 million visitors are expected to visit the Maldives. The Maldives' GDP is expected to grow 17.1 percent this year, according to the World Bank. Only in 2023 will the country's tourism production return to pre-pandemic levels. The first dose of COVID-19 vaccine was given to over 297,639 resort workers, resulting in a vaccination rate of 99 percent.
