Manta Air launched the Beechcraft Aircraft into its fleet

For the first time ever, Manta Air has added a Beechcraft aircraft to its roster. On Monday, Manta Air's newest aircraft, the Beechcraft 1900D, touched down at Velana International Airport.

Larger than a seaplane, the Beechcraft 1900D has 19 seats. It is made by the American aircraft company Textron Aviation for Beechcraft. The aircraft will initially go through a testing phase, according to the local news media. If the testing phase is successful, Manta will buy more Beechcrafts for its regional operations. According to Manta Air, the introduction of this new aircraft would increase the potential for the local aviation industry in the Maldives.
